The Path

 The Path

I find myself on this path alone
In a place I never dreamt I’d be
Where others have come and gone before
Until the path took root right under me

I know so little yet more than I want
And what lies ahead I foresee
The seasons will come and then they will go
And I'm assured what's to be will be

The time that I have I will spend with you
Precious moments remembered with love
Then I’ll drift away on an unknown day
Into arms reaching me from above

  1. Ms. Sheila,

I'm so glad a friend told me about your blog today. Just tonight at dinner my son asked questions out of the blue, about his Aunt that had cancer... Just three questions. But they were profound, coming from a nine year old boy. And now I see I will have more profound thoughts to consider tonight, as I read more from your blog.

Your words have given me much to consider, and they are a true gift, for me, for the others who will read them this week and next, and for those who will read them a long, long time from now.

How incredibly selfless of you to share your journey.

    Namaste,
    Erin

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words. I did not realize that my words were being read by anyone and your response left me with the feeling that even when I think I am, I am not alone. Thank you again for taking the time to write.
