I Care




I Care

I heard you today
and my heart felt it knows you
And so it should, for
are we not sisters too?

Our feet share the same path
For if I am behind as you near the end
 Or I am further ahead as you begin
we still walk as one, both sisters and friends

    Wow. Sheila. As a Mom who has spent time in the Pediatric Cancer Care waiting rooms, halls and offices, I am in awe of your ability to articulate the connections that arise in these shared spaces. Even when words are sometimes never exchanged.

    You are a treasure and I thank you for painting such a vivid image, for those who do understand, and for those who don't.
